God cares for His own

“Casting all your cares upon Him for He cares for you.” 1 Peter 5:7

The Father is waiting and watching for the wayward son: Luke 15:18-20. “I will arise and go to my father and will say unto Him, Father I have sinned against heaven and before thee…and am no more worthy to called thy son…and he arose and came to his Father. But when he was yet a great way off, his Father saw him, and had compassion, and ran and fell on his neck and kissed him.”The Father then recovers his lost son and celebrates his return.

There is a Post of the Parable of the Prodigal son.

God answers our prayers: Matthew 7:7-11. “Ask and it shall be given you; seek and ye shall find; knock and it shall be opened unto you. For everyone that seeketh receiveth; and he that seeketh findeth; and to him that knocketh it shall be opened…”

God provides more than we expect: Ephesians 3:20. “Now unto Him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us.”

Those who seek the Lord lack no good thing. Psalm 34:10. “The young lions do lack and suffer hunger: but they that seek the Lord shall not want any good thing.”

God has a plan for us: Jeremiah 29:11-14 “For I know the thoughts that I think toward you saith the Lord, thoughts of peace and not of evil…And ye shall seek me and find me, when ye search for me with all your heart.”

He only is my Rock and Salvation.

Psalm 62:1-2. Truly my soul waiteth upon God. From Him cometh my salvation. He only is my rock and my salvation; He is my defense. I shall not be greatly moved.

King David was a man of faith. He experienced many trials and temptations including near death encounters. God delivered him and spared his life several times. His greatest agony resulted from his committing adultery with Bathsheba and having her husband Uriah killed in battle (2 samuel ch. 11). Nathan the prophet of God came to him pronouncing God’s judgement (2 Samuel 12:9-12).

David confesses his sin. To the prophet Nathan he said “I have sinned against the Lord”. God spared his life but there would be consequences.

David’s Psalm of confession and restoration: Psalm 51.

“Have mercy upon me and blot out my transgression. Wash me throughly from my iniquity for I acknowledge my transression”. vs.1-3.

“Cast me not away from thy presence and take not thy Holy Spirit from me”. “Restore unto me the joy of Thy salvation and uphold me with Thy free Spirit, then will I teach transgressors Thy ways and sinners shall be converted unto Thee.” vs 11-13.

God is holy and does not tolerate sin but is a forgiving God for those that will confess their sin and truly repent.
