Elijah at Ahab’s Court

God instructs Elijah to declare “there will be no dew or rain these years but according to my word” I Kings 17:1.

This was fullfillment of Deuteronomy 11:16-17. Take heed, if ye serve other gods, the Lord will shut up the heaven and there shall be no rain. The drought lasted at least 3 years.

Elijah flees and is at the Brook Cherith where he is fed by Ravens. I Kings 17:2-7.

The Brook dries up and Elijah instructed to go to Zerephath where he cares for a widow and her son. I Kings 17:8-16.

Elijah and the widow of Zerephath is a separate message.
