The Prophet Hosea rebukes the Northern Kingdom of Israel.
Hosea is the first of the 12 Minor Prophets-750-725 B.C.
Decay is everywhere:
Physical realm. Hosea 2:8-9. “She did not know that I gave her corn and wine…I will take away her corn and wine…”
Personal and cultural Moral decay. Israel compared to an unfaithful wife. Hosea 2:2 “Plead with your mother…let her put away her whoredoms…”
Spiritual decay. Hosea 7:1-3, 8-10. “…the iniquity of Ephraim was discovered, and the wickedness of Samaria…for they commit falsehood…”
