Old Testament prophesies fullfilled in Christ. These are detailed in the Open Bible.
At least 37 Old Testament prophesies refer to the coming of Christ.
In several of these Christ refers to himself including Luke 4:18-19 which refers to Isaiah 61:1-2.
Isaiah is called the “Evangelical Prophet.” His theme was: salvation comes from the Lord.
Isaiah means “Jehovah saves.”
Of the 37 Old Testament prophesies of Christ 10 are in the book of Isaiah.
The book of Psalms has 12 prophesies of the coming of Christ.
Of the great chapters of the Bible 3 are in Isaiah: Chapters 40, 53, &55.
There are several parallels between Isaiah 61:1-2 and Luke 4:18-19.
