Pharaoh of Egypt

  1. Exodus 8:28,32 And Pharaoh said, I will let you go, that ye may sacrifice to the Lord your God in the wilderness; only ye shall not go very far away: intreat for me…and Pharaoh hardened his heart at this time also, neither would he let the people go.

  2. Exodus 9:25,27 And the hail smote throughout all the land of Egypt…And Pharaoh sent and called for Moses and Aaron, and said unto them, I have sinned this time: the Lord is righteous, and I and my people are wicked.

  3. Exodus 10:14,16-17 And the locusts went up over all the land of Egypt…And Pharaoh called for Moses and Aaron in haste; and he said, I have sinned against the Lord your God and against you. Now therefore forgive, I pray thee my sin this once, and intreat the Lord your God, that he may take away from me this death only.

  4. Exodus 12:29-31 And it came to pass that at midnight the Lord smote all the firstborn in the land of Egypt from the firstborn of Pharaoh…and Pharaoh rose up in the night…abd he called for Moses and Aaron by night and said, Rise up and get you forth from among my people, both ye and the children of Israel; and go serve the Lord, as ye have said.


King of Nineveh

  1. Jonah 3:3-4 So Jonah arose and went unto Nineveh, according to the word of the Lord. Now Nineveh was an exceeding great city of three days journey. And Jonah began to enter into the city a days journey, and he cried and said, Yet forty days and Nineveh shall be overthrown.

  2. Jonah 3:5 So the people of Nineveh believed God and proclaimed a fast, and put on sackcloth from the greatesr of them even to the least of them.

  3. Jonah 3:6-9 For the word came unto the king of Nineveh, and he arose from his throne, and he laid his robe from him, and covered him with sackcloth and sat in ashes. And he caused it to be proclaimed and published through Nineveh by the decree of the king and his nobles saying, Let neither man or beast, herd or flock taste anything: let them not feed nor drink water: but let man and beast be covered with sackcloth, and cry mightily unto God: yea let them turn everyone from his evil ways, and from the violence that is in their hands.Who can tell if God will turn and repent, and turn away from his fierce anger, that we perish not.

  4. Jonah 3:10 And God saw their works, that they turned from their evil ways, and God repented of the evil that he had said he would do unto them: and he did it not.


Nebuchadnezzar King of the Babylonian Empire

  1. Daniel 1:1 In the third year of the reign of Jehoiakim king of Judah came Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon unto Jerusalem and besieged it. The choice young men are taken into captivity including Daniel, Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego.

  2. Daniel 2:1,5,16-19 Nebuchadnezzars first dream which he cannot remember. The magicians, astrologers and sorcerers cannot know or interpret the dream. Daniel prays to God and God reveals the dream and it’s interpretation.

  3. Daniel 2:47 The king answered unto Daniel and said, Of a truth it is that your God is a God of gods, and a Lord of kings, and a revealer of secrets, seeing thou couldst reveal this secret.

  4. Daniel 3:1,6 Nebuchadnezzar the King made an image of Gold… and whoso falleth not down and worshippeth…shall be cast into the midst of a burning fiery furnace.

  5. Daniel 3:16-18 answered O king we will not serve thy gods nor worship the golden image which thou hast set up. Our God whom we serve is able to deliver us from the burning fiery furnace.

  6. Daniel 3:24-26 Then Nebuchadnezzar the king was astounded and rose up in haste and spake unto his councellors, Did not we cast three men bound into the midst of the fire?…And lo I see four men loose, walking in the midst of the fire, and they have no hurt; and the form of the fourth is like the Son of God.

  7. Daniel 3:28-29 Then Nebuchadnezzar spake and said, Blessed be the God of Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego who hath sent his angel, and delivered his servants that trusted in him, and have changed the king’s words, and yielded their bodies, that they may not serve nor worship any god except their own God. Therefore I make a decree, that every people, nation and language, which speak any thing amiss against the God of Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego, shall be cut in pieces, and their houses shall be made a dunghill: because there is no other God that can deliver after this sort.

  8. Daniel 4:34 And at the end of days, I Nebuchadnezzar lifted up my eyes unto heaven, and my understanding returned unto me, and I blessed the the most High, and I praised and honored Him that liveth forever whose dominion is an everlasting dominion and His kingdom is from generation to generation.

Darius King of Persia

  1. Daniel 6:1-2 It pleased Darius to set over the kingdom one hundred and twenty princes…and over these Daniel was first.

  2. Daniel 6:5-7 …We shall not find any occassion against this Daniel, except we find it against him concerning the law of his God…and they established a royal statute … that whosoever shall ask a petition of any God or man for thirty days, save thee O king, shall be cast into the den of lions.

  3. Daniel 6:11-13,16 Then these men assembled and found Daniel praying and making supplication before his God. Then they came and spake before the king…that Daniel, which is of the children of the captivity of Judah, regardeth not thee O king, nor the decree that thou has signed. Then the king commanded and they brought Daniel and cast him into the den of lions, Now the King spake and said unto Daniel. “Thy God whom thou servest continually, he will deliver thee.

  4. Daniel 6:19-22 Then the king arose early in the morning, and went in haste unto the den of lions, and he cried with a lamentable voice…O Daniel, servant of the living God, is thy God whom thou servest continually, able to deliver thee from the lions? Then said Daniel to the king…My God hath sent his angel and hath shut the lions’ mouth.

  5. Daniel 6:25-27 Then Darius wrote unto all people, nations, and languages…I make a decree, that in every dominion of my kingdom men tremble and fear before the God of Daniel: for He is the living God, and steadfast for ever, and His kingdom shall not be destroyed, and His dominion shall be unto the end. He delivereth and rescueth, and He worketh signs and wonders in heaven and in earth, who hath delivered Daniel from the power of the lions.

Cyrus King of Persia

  1. Ezra 1:1-2 Now in the first year of Cyrus king of Persia, that the word of the Lord by the mouth of Jeremiah might be fulfilled, the Lord stirred up the spirit of Cyrus king of Persia , that he made a proclamation throughout his kingdom, and put it also in writing, saying.Thus says Cyrus king of Persia, the Lord God of heaven hath given me all the kingdoms of the earth, and He has charged me to to build Him an house in Jerusalem which is in Judah.

  2. Ezra 1:7 Also Cyrus the king brought forth the vessels of the house of the Lord, which Nebuchadnezzar had brought forth out of Jerusalem, and had put them in the house of his God.
