LIVING DOG, DEAD LION: SOLOMON ANALOGY

Ecclesiastes 9:4-6 “For to him that is joined to all the living there is hope: for a living dog is better than a dead lion. For the living know they shall die: but the dead know not anything, neither have they anymore a reward; for the memory of them is forgotten.”

This message is included in the Post “Surprising Statements in the Bible”

The humble walk with God and follow in the steps of the Savior.

  1. God walked with man in the form of a man-Jesus Christ. He did justice. He loved mercy.

  2. He died for man’s sins and rose again. He walks with us today.

  3. Only in his steps can we walk humbly with our God.

The proud and arrogant’s end is like a dead lion.

  1. A proud life has no room for God.

  2. Life does provide opportunity to know God and walk with him.
