The purifying blood
The blood of Jesus Christ cleanses from all sin.
Key verse: If we walk in the light as He is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ his son cleanest us from all sin. I John 1:7
Overcoming the world. I John 5:5-8.
Who is he that overcometh the world but he that believeth that Jesus is the Son of God. I John 5:5.
Jesus came by water and blood refers to human birth-Jesus becoming human, born of a woman, to atone for sinful man. I John 5:6.
Atonement in the Old Testament.
God made the first sacrifice after Adam and Eve sinned. God sacrificed an animal and “made coats of skins and clothed them.” Genesis 3:21.
Abel brought of the firstling of his flock and of the fat thereof. And the Lord had respect unto Abel and to his offering. Gen. 4:4.
For the life of the flesh is in the blood: and I have given it to you upon the altar to make an atonement for your souls: for it is the blood that maketh an atonement for your soul. Leviticus 17:11.
Sparing the first born in Egypt. Exodus 12:13. …When I see the blood I will pass over you.
Shedding of blood is necessary for remission from sin.
All things are by the Law are purged with blood , and without shedding of blood there is no remission. Hebrews 9:22.
Christ was once offered to bear the sins of many, and unto them that look for Him shall he appear the second time without sin unto salvation. Heb.9:28.
Remission of past sins.
God blots out past sins, and calls man to return to Him for He has redeemed him. Isaiah 44:22.
As far as the east is from the west He removeth our transgressions, as a father pitieth his children. Psalm 103:12-13.
He will forgive sins and iniquities and remember them no more. Hebrews 10:16-17.
He will have compassion upon us, he will subdue our iniquities, and will cast all their sins into the depth of the sea. Micah 7:19.
He purifies from present transgressions.

If we say we that we have not sinned, we make him a liar, and his word is nor in us. I John 1:10.
He purifies us from possible sin.
Many ask, when they are born again, whether they will be able to resist the flesh, the world and the devil. In John 19:30 when Jesus said “it is finished..” means the past the present and the future.
Shall we continue in sin, that grace may abound? God forbid, how shall we that are dead to sin, live any longer therein. Romans 6:1-2.
He saves from the torment and penalty of sin.
If any man sin, we have an advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous. I John 2:1.
