Look and live
The look that heals and saves is the title of the notes of a message given by Rev. Abraham Brake in the 1970’s.
Look unto God. Key Old Testament verses.
Look unto me, and be ye saved, all the ends of the earth: for I am God and there is none else. Isaiah 45:22.
To everyone that thirstiest, come ye to the waters, and he that hath no money; come ye buy and eat…Isaiah 55:1
Incline your ear, and come unto me: hear and your soul shall live, and I will make an everlasting covenant with you…Isaiah 55:3.
Behold, thou shalt call a nation that thou knowest not, and nations that knew thee not shall run unto thee because of the Lord thy God…Isaiah 55:5.
Seek ye the Lord while he may be found, call ye upon him while he is near. Isaiah 55:6.
And the Lord said unto Moses, make thee a fiery serpent, and set it upon a pole: and it shall come to pass that every one that is bitten, when he looketh upon it, shall live. Numbers 21:8-9.
Look unto Jesus. Key New Testament verses.
The next day John seeth Jesus coming unto him and saith, Behold the lamb of God, which taketh away the sin of the world. John 1:29.
Jesus resisted and rebuked Satan. Get thee hence Satan, for it is written, Thou shalt worship the Lord thy God, and Him only shalt thou serve. Matt. 4:10.
Come unto me all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest, take my yoke upon you, and learn of me, for I am meek and lowly in heart, and ye shall find rest unto your souls…Matt.11:28-30.
Look unto me in my humbleness. Jesus prayed, fasted and lived a humble life. Who, being in the form of God, thought it not robbery to be equal with God: but made himself of no reputation and took upon him the form of a servant and was made in the likeness of men…He humbled himself, and became obedient unto death… Philippians 2:6-8.
Jesus suffered greatly. The Son of man came not to be ministerd to, but to minister, and to give His life a ransom for many. Matt. 20:28. Jesus strove to preach the word and heal the sick in spite of his persecution and rejection by the Jewish religious leaders.
Look to the resurrected Christ who was victorius over sin and death and hell. …To present you holy and unblameable and unreproveable in his site. Colossians 1:21-22.
Be saved for I am God and there is no other.
Salvation comes by looking by faith to Jesus.
By repentence and turning away from disobedience.
Salvation is everlasting and free.
Final thought: Seek Him now and be saved.
