  1. Genesis 16:1-13. Hagar the maid of Abraham’s wife Sarah who had fled from Sarah after she conceived Ishmael was rescued by the Angel of the Lord and says: “Thou God seest me, for she said, Have I here also looked after him that seest me.”

  2. I Samuel 16:7 Do not look on his appearance….For the Lord sees not as man sees. For the Lord sees not as man sees. Man looks at the outward appearance, but the Lord looks on the heart.

  3. II Chronicles 16:9. “ for the eyes of the Lord run to and fro throughout the whole earth…”

  4. Job 34:21-22. “For his eyes are on the ways of man, and he sees all his steps.”

  5. Psalm 14:2. “The Lord looks down from heaven on the children of man, to see if there are any who understand, who seek after God.”
