After the arrive on the eastern shore, the country of the Gadarenes, they are met by a man with unclean spirits who ran and worshiped him and said “What have I to do with thee Jesus thou Son of … God…don’t torment me.” Mark 5:7.
Jesus casts out of him the unclean spirit. Mark 5:8-13.
The man healed of the unclean spirits requests to go with Jesus. Mark 5:18.
Jesus’s instruction to the healed man: Go home and tell your friends what the Lord has done for you.
The healed man’s response: “He departed and began to publish in the Decapolis how great things Jesus had done for him: and all men did marvel.” Mark 5:20.
He becomes the first Gentile missionary reaching out to the Decapolis which was the ten City-States east of the Sea of Galilee.
