The gift of God in Christ: grace and truth.
John 1:14 And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us. (and we beheld His glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father) full of grace and truth.
John 1:17 For the law was given by Moses, but grace and truth came by Jesus Christ.
Romans 1:5 By whom we have received grace and apostleship for obedience to the faith among all nations, for his name.
God’s gift of grace.
A. Salvation by grace. Romans 3:24 Being justified freely by his grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus.
B. Grow in grace. II Peter 3:18 But grow in grace, and in the knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. To Him be glory both now and forever.
C. Established with grace. Hebrews 13:9 Be not carried about with diverse doctrines, for it is a good thing that the heart be established with grace…
D. Grace is sufficient. II Corinthians 12:7-9 ….And He said unto me, My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness…
Grace is sufficient for healing our weakness.
To strengthen us in our weakness and struggles.
To Give us joy and comfort.
To protect us from frustration, His grace gives us victory.
God’s Gift of truth.
John 1:18 No one has seen God at any time. The only begotten Son, who is in the bosom of the Father. He has declared Him.
John 4:4 God is Spirit, and those who worship Him must worship in spirit and truth.
John 8:32 And you shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.
John 14:5-6 Thomas saith unto him, Lord we know not where thou goest; and how can we know the way? Jesus said unto him, I am the way the truth and the life.
John 18:37-38 Pilate therefore said to him, “so you are king?” Jesus answered, “you say correctly that I am a king. For this I have been born, and for this I have come into the world, to bear witness to the truth. Pilot said to him, “what is truth?”
