Genesis.

  1. Gen. 1:27 And God created man in His own image, in the image of God created he him, male and female created He them.

  2. Gen. 3:15. And I will put enmity between thee and the woman and between thy seed and her seed; it shall bruise thy head and thou shalt bruise his heel.

  3. Gen. 6:5,8. And God saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and that every imagination of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continully. But Noah found grace in the eyes of the Lord.

  4. Gen. 12:1-3 And the Lord had said unto Abram, get thee out of thy country, and from thy kindred…unto a land that I will show thee…and in thee shall all the families of the earth be blessed.

  5. Gen. 22:2,7-8 …Take now thy son, thy only son Isaac…and offer him there for a burnt offering…And Isaac spake unto Abraham his father…where is the the lamb for a burnt offering? And Abraham said, My son, God will provide himself a lamb…

Exodus.

  1. Ex. 9:16 and in every deed for this cause have I raised thee up, for to show in thee my power; and that my name may be declared throughout all the earth.

  2. Ex. 20:1-20 The 10 commandments … and Moses said to the people fear not: for God is come to prove you, and that His fear may be before your faces that ye sin not.

  3. Ex. 23:20 Behold I send an angel before thee to keep thee in the way and to bring thee into the place which I have prepared.

  4. Ex. 33:13 Now therefore I pray thee, if I have found grace in thy site, show me now thy way that I may know Thee, that I might find grace in Thy site: and consider that this nation is Thy people. And He said my presence shall go with thee and I will give thee rest.

Leviticus.

  1. Lev. 19:28. You shall not make any cut in your bodies for the dead nor make any tatoo marks on yourselves: I am the Lord.

  2. Lev. 20:22. You are therefore to keep all my statutes and all ordinances and do them, so that the land to which I bring you to live will not spew you out.

Numbers.

  1. Num. 1:2 Take a census of the whole Israelite community by their clans and families, listing every man by name, one by one.

  2. Num. 6:24 The Lord bless you and keep you.

  3. Num. 23:19 God is not human that He should lie, not human that He should change His mind…

Deuteronomy.

  1. Deut. 10:12,13. And now Israel what does the Lord thy God require of thee but to fear the Lord thy God, to walk in all his ways, and to love Him, and to serve the Lord thy God with all thy heart and with all thy soul. To keep the commandments of the Lord and His statutes which I command thee this day for thy good?

  2. Deut. 29:29. The secret things belong unto the Lord our God, but those things which are revealed belong to us and to our children for ever that we may do all the words of His law.

  3. Deut. 30:14. but the word is very nigh unto thee, in thy mouth, and in thy heart, that thou mayest do it.

  4. Deut. 31:6. Be strong and of a good courage, fear not nor be afraid of them: for the Lord thy God, He goeth with thee, He will not fail thee nor forsake thee.

Joshua.

  1. Joshua 1:8. The book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth, but thou shalt meditate therein day and night, that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein: for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt have good success.

  2. Joshua 1:9. Be strong and of good courage, be not afraid neither be thou dismayed: for the Lord thy God is with thee withersoever thou goest.

  3. Joshua 24:15. …choose you this day whom you will serve … but as for me and my house we will serve the Lord.

Judges.

  1. Judge 2:1-3 And the Angel of the Lord came up out of Gilgal and said, I made you go up out of Egypt and brought you unto the land I sware unto your fathers, and I said, I will never break my covenant with you. And ye shall make no league with the inhabitants of this land; ye shall throw down their altars; but ye have not obeyed my voice: why have ye done this? Wherefore … I will not drive them out from before you; but they shall be as thorns in your sides, and their gods shall be a snare unto you.

  2. Judges 8:23 And Gideon said unto them, I will not rule over you, neither shall my son rule over you. The Lord shall rule over you.

Ruth.

  1. Ruth 1:16. But Ruth replied “do not urge me to leave you and turn my back from you. Where you go I will go, and where you stay I will stay. Your people shall be my people and your God my God.

  2. Ruth 4:13,17. So Boaz took Ruth and she was his wife … the Lord gave her conception and she bare a son…and they called his name Obed. He is the father of Jesse, the father of David.

I Samuel.

  1. I Sam. 7:12. Then Samuel took a stone and set it between Mizpeh and Shen and called the name of it Ebenezer saying, Hitherto hath the Lord helped us.

  2. I sam. 12:24. Only fear the Lord and serve him in truth with all your heart: for consider what great things he hath done for you.

II Samuel.

  1. II Sam. 7:22. Wherefore Thou art great O Lord God for there is none like Thee…

  2. II Sam. 22:2-3 The Lord is my rock and my fortress, and my deliverer…in Him will I trust. He is my shield…and my refuge, my Savior…

  3. II Sam. 22:47 The Lord liveth, and blessed be my rock, and exalted be the God of the rock of my salvation.

I Kings.

  1. I Kings 2:1-3. Now the days of David drew nigh that he should die; and he charged Solomon his son saying…keep the charge of the Lord thy God to walk in His ways, to keep His statutes…that thou mayest prosper in all that thou doest…

  2. I Kings 11:4.For it came to pass when Solomon was old, that his wives turned away his heart after other gods…

  3. I Kings 11:43. And Solomon slept with his fathers and was buried, and Rehoboam his son reigned in his stead.

  4. I Kings 12:19 So Israel rebelled against the house of David unto this day.

  5. I Kings 12:20 And it came to pass when all Israel heard that Jeroboam was come again…they made him king over all Israel: there was none that followed the house of David but the tribe of Judah only.

  6. I Kings 12:26-28 …Wherefore the king (Jeroboam) took council and made two calves of gold and said unto them it is too much for you to go to Jerusalem: behold thy gods oh Israel which brought thee up out of the land of Egypt.

II Kings.

  1. II Kings 1:3. The Angel of the Lord said to Elijah the Tishbite go and meet the messengers of the king of Samaria (Ahab) and say unto them “is it because there is no God in Israel that you are going to enquire of Baal-zebub the god of Ekron?”

  2. II Kings 2:11-12. And as they still went on and talked, behold chariots of fire and horses of fire separated the two of them. And Elijah went up by a whirlwind into heaven. And Elisha saw it and cried “My father my father! The chariots of Israel and it’s horsemen” and he saw him no more.

I Chronicles.

  1. I Chron. 16:8 Give thanks unto the Lord, call upon His name, make known His deeds among the people,

  2. I Chron. 16:34. Give thanks unto the Lord, for He is good, for His mercy endures forever.

II Chronicles.

  1. II Chron. 7:14 If my people which are called by my name, shall humble themselves and pray, and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven and will forgive their sins, and will heel their land.

  2. II Chron. 15:7 Be ye strong therefore, and let not your hands be weak, for your work will be rewarded.

Ezra.

  1. Ezra 1:2 Thus says Cyrus king of Persia, the Lord God of heaven hath given me all the kingdoms of the earth; and He has charged me to build Him an house at Jerusalem which is in Judah.

  2. Ezra 6:3 In the first year of Cyrus the king…he made a decree concerning the house of God in Jerusalem, let the house be built…

Nehemiah.

  1. Neh. 1:8-9. Remember, I beseech Thee, the word thou commandest thy servant Moses, saying if ye transgress, I will scatter you abroad among the nations. But if ye turn to me and keep my commandments…I will gather them from thence and will bring them unto the place that I have chosen to set my name there.

  2. Neh. 2:5 And I said unto the king, if it please the king, and if thy servant have found favour in thy sight, that thou wouldest send me unto Judah, unto the city of my father’s sepulchres, that I may build it.

Esther.

  1. Esther 2:17 And the king loved Esther above all the women and she obtained favor in his site more than all the virgins: so that he set the royal crown upon her head and made her queen. instead of Vashti.

  2. Esther 3:8-9. And Haman said unto king Ahasueras, there is a certain people…in the provinces of thy kingdom; and their laws are diverse from all the people, and they keep not thy laws…if it please the king let it be written that they may be destroyed…

  3. Esther 4:13-14. Then Mordecai commanded to answer Esther, think not that thou shalt escape in the king’s house more than all the Jews. If thou holdest thy peace at this time…then shall deliverance shall arise to the Jews from another place.

  4. Esther 7:2-4. And the king said unto Esther… what is thy petition queen Esther and it shall be granted thee. Then Esther answered and said “if I have found favor in thy site oh king…let my life be given me, and my people at my request: for we are sold, I and my people to be destroyed, to be slain and to perish…

  5. Esther 8:11. Wherein the king Ahasuerus granted the Jews which were in every city to gather themselves together and to stand for their life…

  6. Esther 8:17. And in every province and in every city … the Jews had joy and gladness…and many of the people of the land became Jews; for the fear of the Jews fell upon them.

Job.

  1. Job 1:1 There was a man in the land of Uz, and that man was perfect and upright and feared God and eschewed evil.

  2. Job 1:8 And the Lord said unto Satan, hast thou considered my servant Job that there is none like him in the earth, a perfect and upright man, one that feareth God and escheweth evil?

  3. Job 1:11-12 Satan answered “put forth thine hand now and touch all that he hath, and he will curse thee to thy face.” And the Lord said unto Satan,” behold all that he hath is in thy power, only upon himself put not thy hand.”

  4. Job 1:!9-20 … there came a great wind from the wilderness and smote the four corners of the house and it fell upon the young men and they are dead. And Job arose, rent his mantle, shaved his head and fell down upon the ground, and worshipped.

  5. Job 2:3 And the Lord said unto Satan, hast thou considered my servant Job…he still holdeth fast his integrity, although thou madest me against him without cause.

  6. Job 2:4 Satan answered the Lord and said skin for skin, all that a man hath he will give for his life.

  7. Job 2:6 The Lord said unto Satan, behold he is in thy hand, but save his life.

  8. Job 2:7-8 And Satan smote Job with sore boils from the sole of foot unto his crown. Job sat down among the ashes.

  9. Job 2:9-10 Then said his wife unto him, dost thou still retain thine integrity? curse God and die. Then said Job to her thou speakers as one of the foolish women. Shall we receive good at the hand of God, and shall we not receive evil? In all this did not Job sin with his lips.

  10. Job 23:13-14 But He is unchangeable…what He desires that He does. For He will complete what He appoints for me.

  11. Job 27:3-4 As long as my breath is in me, and the Spirit of God is in my nostrils, my lips will not speak falsehood, and my tongue will not utter deceit.

  12. Job 40:1-2 Wherefore the Lord answered Job. Shall he that contendeth with the Almighty instruct Him? He that reproveth God let him answer it.

  13. Job 42:1-2 Then Job answered the Lord and said. I know Thou canst do everything and that no thought can be withholden from Thee.

  14. Job 42:10 And the Lord turned the captivity of Job when he prayed for his friends: also the Lord gave Job twice as much as he had before.

  15. Job 42:12 So the Lord blessed the latter end of Job more than his beginning.

Psalms.

  1. Ps. 14:1 The fool hath said in his heart, there is no God. They are corrupt, they have done abominable works, there is none that doeth good.

  2. Ps. 17:15. As for me, I will behold thy face in righteousness: I shall be satisfied when I wake with thy likeness.

  3. Ps. 55:22. Cast thy burden upon the Lord and He shall sustain thee: He shall never suffer the righteous to be moved.

  4. Ps. 56:4 In God I will praise His word. In God I have put my trust; I will not fear what can flesh do unto me.

  5. Ps. 118:6. The Lord is on my side; I will not fear: what can man do unto me.

  6. Ps. 118:9. It is better to trust in the Lord than to put confidence in princes.

  7. Ps. 118:24. This is the day which the Lord has made: we will rejoice and be glad in it.

  8. Ps. 119:30 The enterance of Thy word giveth light, it giveth understanding to the simple.

  9. Ps. 139:23-24. Search me O God and know my heart: try me and know my thoughts: and see if there be any wicked way in me, and lead me in the way everlasting.

Proverbs.

  1. Prov.1:7 The fear of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge, but fools despise wisdom and understanding.

  2. Prov. 3:5-6. Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not unto thy own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge Him and He shall direct thy paths.

  3. Prov. 9:10 The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom, and the knowledge of the holy is understanding.

  4. Prov. 14:12 There is a way which seemeth right unto a man but the end thereof are the ways of death.

  5. Prov. 16:3 Commit thy works unto the Lord, and thy thoughts shall be established.

  6. Prov. 16:9 A man’s heart deviseth his way but the Lord directeth his steps.

  7. Prov. 22:6 Train up a child in the way he should go, and when he is old he will not depart from it.

  8. Prov. 28:13 He that covereth his sins shall not prosper: but whoso confesses and forsaketh them shall have mercy.

  9. Prov. 31:10 Who can find a virtuous woman? for her price is far above rubies.

  10. Prov. 31:28 Her children arise up and call her blessed. Her husband also, and he praises her.

  11. Prov. 31:30 Favor is deceitful, and beauty is vain: but a woman that feareth the Lord, she shall be praised.

Ecclesiastes

  1. Eccl. 3:1,4 To everything there is a season, and a time to every purpose under heaven…A time to weep, and a time to laugh: a time to mourn and a time to dance.

  2. Eccl. 8:13 But it shall not be well with the wicked, neither shall he prolong his days which are as a shadow; because he feareth not before God.

  3. Eccl. 9:10 Whtsover thy hand findeth to do, do it with all thy might…

  4. Eccl. 12:1 Remember you creator in the days of your youth, before the evil days come and the years draw near when you will say “I have no delight in them.”

  5. Eccl. 12:13-14 Let us hear the conclusion of the whole matter: Fear God and keep His commandments: for this is the whole duty of man. For God shall bring every work into judgement, with every secret thing, whether it be good, or whether it be evil.

Song of Solomon

  1. Song of Solomon 2:1-2 I am the rose of Sharon, and the lily of the valley. As the lily among thorns, so is my love among the daughters.

  2. Song of Solomon 2:16 My beloved is mine and I am his: he feeds among the lilies.

  3. Song of Solomon 5:8 I adjure you O daughters of Jerusalem, if you find my beloved, as to what you will tell him: For I am lovesick

  4. Song of Solomon 6:9 My dove, my undefiled is but one: she is the only one of her mother, she is the choice one of her that bear her, The daughters saw her and blessed her; yea the queens and the concubines, and they blessed her.

  5. Song of Solomon 8:6 Put me like a seal over your heart, like a seal on your arm for love is as strong as death…

  6. Song of Solomon 8:7 Many waters cannot quench love, nor will rivers overflow it…

Isaiah

  1. Isa. 1:18 “Come now let us reason together” says the Lord “Though your sins are like scarlet, they shall be as white as snow ; though they are red as crimson they shall be as white as wool.”

  2. Isa 1:19 Except the Lord of hosts had left unto us a very small remnant, we should hve been as Sodom and like unto Gomorah.

  3. Isa. 6:8 Also I heard the voice of the Lord saying, whom shall I send and who will go for us? then said I, here am I, send me.

  4. Isa. 7:14 Therefore the Lord himself will give you a sign: the virgin will conceive and give birth to a son, and will call Him Immanuel.

  5. Isa. 9:6 For unto us a child is born, to us a son is given, and the government shall be on His shoulders. And He will be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.

  6. Isa. 21:10 …what I have heard from the Lord of hosts, the God of Israel, I make known unto you.

  7. Isa. 26:3 Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on thee, because he trusteth in thee.

  8. Isa. 30:21 and your ears will hear a word behind you “This is the way, walk in it.” whenever you turn to the right or to the left.

  9. Isa. 40:31 But they that wait on the Lord shall renew their strength, they shall mount up with wings as eagles, they shall run and not be weary, and shall walk and not faint.

  10. Isa. 43:1 …Do not fear for I have redeemed you, I have called you by name: you are mine…

  11. Isa. 44:22 I have wiped out your transgressions like a thick cloud and your sins like a heavy mist. Return unto me for I have redeemed you.

  12. Isa. 45:22 Turn to me and be saved all the ends of the earth; for I am God and there is no other.

  13. Isa. 48:11 For my own sake, for my own sake I will act; for how can my name be profaned? And my glory I will not give to another.

  14. Isa. 48:22 “There is no peace for the wicked” says the Lord.

  15. Isa. 49:19 But Zion said “The Lord has forsaken me, the Lord has forgotten me.

  16. Isa. 52:7 How lovely on the mountains are the feet of him who brings good news, who announces peace and brings good news of happiness, who announces salvation and says to Zion your God reigns.

  17. Isa. 53:5 But He was wounded for our transgressions, He was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon Him, and with His stripes we are healed.

  18. Isa. 53:6 All we like sheep have gone astray, each of us has turned to his own way but the Lord has caused the iniquity of us all to fall on Him.

  19. Isa. 54:8 In a surge of anger, I hid my face from you for a moment, but with everlasting kindness I will have compassion on you, says the Lord your Redeemer.

  20. Isa. 54:10 For the mountains may be removed and the hills may shake but my lovingkindness will not be removed from you and my covenant of peace will not be shaken says the Lord who has compassion on you.

  21. Isa. 55:1 Ho everyone who thirsts, come to the water; and you who have no money come, come buy and eat...

  22. Isa. 55:7 Seek the Lord while He may be found; sall upon Him while He is near. Let the wicked forsake his way, and the unrighteous man his thoughts; and let him return to the Lord and He will have compassion on him; and to our God for He will abundantly pardon.

  23. Isa. 57:15-16 For thus says the High and exalted one, who lives forever, whose name is Holy: I dwell on a high and holy place and with the contrite and lowly of spirit in order to revive the spirit of the lowly and revive the heart of the contrite.

  24. Isa. 57:21 “There is no peace” says my God “for the wicked”

  25. Isa. 58:11 and the Lord will continually guide you and satisfy your desire in scorched places and give strength to your bones; and you will be like a watered garden and like a spring of water whose waters do not fail.

  26. Isa. 59:1-2 Surely the arm of the Lord is not too short to save, nor His ear too dull that it cannot hear. But your iniquities have made a separation between you and your God, and your sins have hid face from you so that he does not hear.

  27. Isa 59:19b When the enemy comes in like a flood, the Spirit of the Lord will raise up a standard against him.

  28. Isa. 61:10 I will rejoice greatly in the Lord, my soul will exalt in the Lord: for He has clothed me with garments of salvation, He has wrapped me with a robe of righteousness.

Jeremiah.

  1. Jer. 1:5 Before I formed thee in the belly I knew thee, and before thou camest forth out of the womb I sanctified thee, and I ordained thee a prophet to the nations.

  2. Jer. 2:13 For my people have committed two evils; they have forsaken me, the fountain of living water, to hew for themselves cisterns, broken cisterns that can hold no water.

  3. Jer. 2:27 Who say to a tree “you are my father’ and to a stone “you gave me birth.” For they have turned their backs to me, and not their face; but in the time of their trouble they will say “arise and save us.”

  4. Jer. 6:16 Thus says the Lord: “Stand by the way and see and ask for the ancient paths where the good way is, and walk in it; and you will find rest for your soul.” But they said “we will not walk in it.”

  5. Jer. 10:23 O Lord I know that the way of man is not in himself: it is not in man that walketh to direct his steps.

  6. Jer. 15:16 The words were found, and I did eat them; and thy word was unto me the joy and rejoicing of mine heart: for I am called by thy name, O Lord God of hosts.

  7. Jer. 17:5 Thus says the Lord “cursed is the man who trusts in mankind and makes flesh his strength, and whose heart turns away from the Lord.”

  8. Jer. 17:7-8 Blessed is the man that trusteth in the Lord, and whose hope the Lord is. For he shall be as a tree planted by the waters, and that spreadeth her roots by the river…neither shall cease from yielding fruit.

  9. Jer. 17:9 The heart is more deceitful above all things, and desperately wicked: who can know it.

  10. Jer. 17:10 I the Lord search the heart, I try the reins, even to give every man according to his ways, and according to the fruit of his doing.

  11. Jer. 29:11 For I know the thoughts that I think toward you with the Lord, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end.

  12. Jer. 29:13 And ye shall seek me, and find me, when ye shall search for me with all your heart.

  13. Jer. 31:3 The Lord hath appeared of old unto me saying “I have loved thee with an everlasting love, therefore with lovingkindness have I drawn thee.

  14. Jer. 33:3 Call unto me and I will answer thee, and show thee great and mighty things which thou knows not.

  15. Jer 48:10 Cursed be he that doeth the work of the Lord deceitfully…

Lamentations

  1. Lam. 1:12 Is it nothing to all you who pass this way? Look and see if there be any pain (sorrow) like my sorrow which was severely dealt out to me, which the Lord inflicted on the day of His fierce anger.

  2. Lam. 3:22-23 It is of the Lord’s mercies that we are not consumed, because His compassions fail not. They are new every morning: great is thy faithfulness.

  3. Lam. 3:25-26 The Lord is good to those who wait on Him; to the person who seeks him. It is good that a man should hope and quietly wait for the salvation of the Lord.

  4. Lam. 5:19 Thou, O Lord, remaineth for ever: thy throne from generation to generation.

  5. Lam. 5:21 Turn thou us unto thee, O Lord, and we shall be turned: renew our days as of old.

Ezekiel

  1. Ezek. 1:3 The word of the Lord came expressly unto Ezekiel the priest…in the land of the Chaldeans on the river Chebar, and the hand of the Lord was there upon him.

  2. Ezek. 2:3 And he said unto me, son of man, I send thee to the children of Israel, to a rebellious nation that has rebelled against me: they and their fathers have transgressed against me, even unto this very day.

  3. Ezek. 18:4 Behold all souls are mine: the soul of the father as well as the soul of the son is mine. The soul who sins will die.

  4. Ezek. 18:20-21 The soul that sinneth it shall die. The son shall not bear the iniquity of the father, neither shall the father bear the iniquity of the son: the righteousness of the righteous shall be upon him and the wickedness of the wicked shall be upon him. But if the wicked man turns from all his sins he has comitted and observes all My statutes and practices justice and righteousness, he shall surely live; he shall not die.

  5. Ezek.36:26 A new heart also will I give you. and a new spirit will I put within you, and I will take away the stony heart out of your flesh, and I will give you an heart of flesh.

  6. Ezek. 37:1-3 The hand of the Lord was upon me, and carried me out in the spirit of the Lord, and set me down in the midst of the valley which was full of bones…And he said unto me, Son of man, can these bones live? And I answered, O Lord God, thou knowest.

  7. Ezek. 37:9-12 Then said he unto me, Prophesy unto the wind…and say to the wind, thus saith the Lord God: Come from the four winds…and breathe upon these slain that they may live. So I prophesied as he commanded me, and the breath came into them, and they lived and stood upon their feet, an exceeding great army…Therefore prophesy and say unto them, Thus saith the Lord God; behold O my people, I will open your graves, and cause you to come up out of your graves, and bring you into the land of Israel.
