Not of this world
Jesus is not of this world but reaches out to humanity
They are not of the world, as I am not of the world. John 17:16
Christ and the world.
Christ was made flesh and dwelt among us…John 1:14.
Jesus referred to as the second Adam. I Corinthians 15:45-49.
He is despised and rejected of men……Isaiah 53:3.
He was oppressed and he was afflicted…Isaiah 53:7.
He made his grave with the wicked…Isaiah 53:9.
He came to his own but his own received him not. John 1:11.
He took on human form but was not of the world. John 17:16.
The world and believers in Christ.
Peter and John confined by the Jewish leaders after pentecost and commanded not to speak nor teach in the name of Jesus. Acts 4:1-3 &18.
The Apostles arrested by the Jewish leaders. Prison doors opened by the angel of the Lord and told to go speak in the temple. Acts 5:16-19.
The Apostles before the Jewish council. Acts 5:27-29 & 41.
Rejoice in as much as ye are partakers of Christ’s suffering…I Peter 4:13.
If ye be reproached for the name of Christ, happy are ye; for the spirit of glory and of God resteth upon you…I Peter 4:14.
These things I spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation, but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world. John 16:33.
The Roman Empire persecuted and killed Christians for 300 years until Constantine. Roman Emporers claimed to be gods & demanded worship.
Christian persecution continues today throughout the world as recorded by Tom Doyle in his book KILLING CHRISTIANS.
Christ continues to reach out to deliver His followers.
Annointed by God the Father to …heal the oppressed. Acts 10:38.
He is able to save to the uttermost…as God’s high priest. Hebrews 7:25-26.
His followers are not to be weary…and do good unto all men, especially to them who are of the house of faith. Galatians 6:9-10.
He was in the world…as many as received Him gave He power to become the son’s of God…John 1:11-12.
Jesus the light of the world. John 8:12.
His followers are to be the light of the world. Matthew 5:14-16.
